Sami grew up watching her sister perform on stages across her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. By age five she knew that she also wanted to be an actress herself and began acting and singing in the local theaters. Seeing talent in "the little girl with the big voice," a director advised her to go try out for How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the Grand Ole Opry, even though she was too young. Much to Sami's surprise, she was cast as Cindy Lou Who. She thrived in the fast-paced environment of New York rehearsals and loved every moment of the show. Back in Memphis, she played Flounder in The Little Mermaid. Following her performance in a Belmont short film, she was cast in the feature film Where Demons Dwell, which has been released on Amazon. She was also honored to sing "America the Beautiful" at the US Open. She has just returned from New York, where she performed in the Broadway play 1984, starred as Madeline in Madeline's Christmas on theatre row, and filmed an episode of Law and Order SVU. Recently, she filmed the release of The Last (a short film featuring 1984 co-star Reed Birney) and took part in an industry read of Little Dancer. Currently, she is proud and excited to be a part of the School of Rock tour as Summer.
While not on stage she enjoys blasting the Secret Garden soundtrack from her room and belting along, reading Harry Potter, working crew in community theatre, and riding her bike. She is represented by CESD, EastCoast Talent, and Green Room Management.
